You can now access the Roadside Inspection screen faster and with more confidence during an inspection. By adding a dedicated entry point directly on your dashboard, we have simplified the process of starting an inspection when requested by an officer.
This update reduces the number of steps required to begin an inspection, helping you stay focused and compliant in high-pressure roadside scenarios.
What’s New
Dedicated Roadside Inspection button: You will now see a Roadside Inspection button directly on your ELD dashboard, located just beneath Manifest. Tapping this button takes you straight to the inspection screen.
Preserved navigation paths: If you are used to accessing inspections through your logs, that path remains available. You can still navigate via Dashboard > Logs > Roadside Inspection.
Improved login reliability: We have resolved an issue where some drivers were occasionally directed to the wrong dashboard after logging in, ensuring you always land on the correct ELD screen ready for your shift.
How it Works
The new navigation is designed to be intuitive and predictable:
When you tap the new Roadside Inspection button on the dashboard, you go directly to the inspection screen.
When you finish or tap 'back' from this new dashboard flow, you are returned directly to the ELD dashboard.
The existing flow through Driver Logs remains unchanged; exiting from that path will still return you to your logs.
The button works whether you are online or offline, ensuring you can always meet inspection requirements regardless of cellular coverage.
Availability
This update is a general enhancement for all drivers using the Drive ELD platform. It is included in the drive-apk-1.16.0 release. No action is required to enable this feature; the new button will appear automatically once your application is updated.
