Drive ELD Review Log Edits Up to 180 Days (US Only)

Overview

Managing your driving logs just got easier and more efficient. You can now review and action supervisor-proposed log edits and unidentified driving time (UDT) directly within the EROAD Drive app, even for events that occurred up to 180 days ago.

Previously, the Drive app only supported these actions for events within your current 8-day ruleset period, requiring you to log into the back office Driver Portal for anything older. This update removes that extra step, ensuring you can maintain compliance entirely from your mobile device without needing to switch to a desktop.

What’s New

  • Extended Proposal History: You can now view and process supervisor-proposed edits and unidentified driving time for events up to 180 days old directly in the app.

  • Persistent Notifications: Any proposals made by your supervisor while you were logged out are saved and will be waiting for you as notification cards the next time you log in.

  • Unified Review Process: Older proposals now appear and behave exactly like current-cycle proposals, using the same familiar dashboard cards and review workflow.

  • Integrated Certification: When you accept an older edit or driving time proposal, the app will automatically prompt you to certify the log for that specific day, ensuring your records remain accurate and compliant.

How it Works

  • Dashboard Cards: When a supervisor proposes an edit or assigns unidentified driving time, a card appears on your dashboard. This now includes events from the last 180 days.

  • Review & Action: Tapping the card allows you to see the full details of the change, including the date, time, location, and any notes from your supervisor. You can then choose to Accept or Reject the proposal.

  • Log Certification: If you accept a proposal, the app will immediately guide you to the certification screen or show a prompt to certify that day's log.

    • Important: For proposals older than your current 8-day cycle, you must certify the log immediately when prompted. Because these logs are outside your standard history, you will not be able to navigate back to certify them later within the app.

  • Data Sync: The app fetches pending proposals upon login. If you are working offline, the app will sync and display any new proposals as soon as you regain connectivity.

Note: Unidentified driving time proposals outside the standard cycle require network access to download events from the server. If you are offline, selecting these cards will display a "Network" error message.
