Overview
We’re pleased to announce a new firmware update for EHUBO devices across Australia and New Zealand. This update delivers a more stable and reliable GPS experience, ensuring better data accuracy for your fleet – particularly around speeding and harsh driving events.
What’s New?
Faster GPS Recovery
EHUBO now recovers GPS signal faster after interruptions or when entering and exiting degraded signal environments such as tunnels, reducing delays in location tracking and ensuring smoother trip data.Improved GPS Signal Validation
Enhanced validation filters out poor-quality GPS points, resulting in more reliable trip data and reducing false positives for harsh breaking and accelerationSpeed Reporting Improvements
Logic updates reduce the occurrence of location “jumps”, which helps prevent speed spikes caused by anomalous GPS dataIncreased Responsiveness
We have introduced changes that reduce CPU load, enhancing the overall responsiveness and stability of your EHUBO during operation. This will make the interface faster and more responsive for DriversSmarter Fallback Behaviour
Refinements to EHUBO’s GPS logic improve how intermittent signal is handled by filtering out outdated or unreliable location points. This results in more consistent and realistic tracking in MyEROAD, helping fleet managers make better real-time decisions and trust the accuracy of vehicle locations—even in areas with variable signal coverage.
